National Association of Police Organizations
Nationwide Retirement Solutions (Nationwide) makes payments to the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) for services and endorsements related to the Nationwide Post Employment Health Plans (PEHP) that NAPO performs for its members. These services and endorsements include:
- The exclusive endorsement of PEHP;
- Providing access to NAPO conferences; and
- Permission to use NAPO logos in PEHP marketing materials.
During the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2011, Nationwide paid approximately $49,448 to NAPO for these services and endorsements. On an annual basis, Nationwide also pays $25,000 in support of NAPO’s TOP COPS awards and up to $7,500 in support of the NAPO Pension and Benefits Seminar.
NAPO serves all of its members by permitting them to provide a benefit program to their employees without incurring the costs associated with independently designing a similar health care arrangement.
Nationwide is committed to providing quality products and services to plan sponsors and their participants. As with most business expenses, the cost of this relationship is reflected in product and service pricing. Nationwide does not represent that PEHP is the lowest cost product available to plan sponsors. Plan sponsors and PEHP participants are encouraged to review the advantages and disadvantages of the PEHP program including the fees and expenses of the program.
